J. (John) Ferris Loth. Teacher, editor, b Milverton, near Kitchener, Ont, 3 Jun 1908, d Kitchener 29 Jan 1972. Born into a musical family, Loth studied piano with George Lethbridge in London, Ont, Ernest Tailby in Doon, Ont, and George Ziegler in Kitchener and later attended the Hambourg Conservatory in Toronto, completing a course in school music teaching. In 1930 he settled in Kitchener, where he taught piano and operated a music kindergarten.
