Neve Adrianne Campbell, actor, producer (born 3 October 1973 in Guelph, ON). Neve Campbell grew up in Toronto and attended the Earl Haig Secondary School in that city. A talented dancer, Campbell was accepted into the National Ballet School of Canada when she was 9 years old, and appeared in productions of Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker. At 14 she joined the long-running Toronto production of The Phantom of the Opera as its youngest cast member. She appeared in the Canadian TV series "Catwalk" (1992-93) and at age 20 she moved to Los Angeles where she was cast as Julia Salinger in the popular teen drama "Party of Five" (1994-2000). The horror hit Scream (1996) made her an international star, and by age 24 she was on the cover of Time magazine, which noted her good-natured sex appeal.

Since Scream and its sequels Neve Campbell has chosen to appear in riskier, less high-profile films and has branched out to produce her own. She wrote the story for and produced The Company (2003), about Chicago's Joffrey Ballet, based on her own experiences at the National Ballet of Canada. She convinced Hollywood legend Robert Altman to direct the film, and shortly before he died he also directed her in Arthur Miller's Resurrection Blues in 2006 at the Old Vic theatre in London's West End.

Neve Campbell's other films include The Passion of John Ruskin (1994), Paint Cans (1994), The Dark (1994), The Craft (1996), Scream 2 (1997), Wild Things (1998), 54 (1998), Hairshirt (1998; which she also produced), Three to Tango (1999), Scream 3 (2000), Panic (2000), Drowning Mona (2000), and Partition (2007). On television, she appeared in made-for-TV movies such as "The Canterville Ghost" (1996), "Churchill: The Hollywood Years" (2004; as Princess Elizabeth) and "Burn Up" (2008), filmed in Calgary, about the oil industry's dance with environmental interests. She appeared in three episodes of the popular series "Medium" in 2007.

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films awarded Neve Campbell best actress for Scream. She was given a Blockbuster Entertainment Award as favourite actress in a horror film for Scream 2 and 3, and was presented with an MTV Movie Award for best female performance in Scream 2.

Her younger brother has Tourette Syndrome, and Neve Campbell has appeared in print and film as a spokesperson for the Tourette Syndrome Foundation of Canada.
