Stuart Rosenberg

Stuart Rosenberg, rabbi, author (b at New York C 5 Jul 1922). Educated at Columbia U, MA (1948), PhD (1953), and the Jewish Theological Seminary, rabbi (1945), MHL (1949), DD (1971), Rosenberg came to Canada in 1956. He has had 2 pulpits: Beth Tzedec (1956-73) and Beth Torah (1982- ).

Stuart Rosenberg, rabbi, author (b at New York C 5 Jul 1922). Educated at Columbia U, MA (1948), PhD (1953), and the Jewish Theological Seminary, rabbi (1945), MHL (1949), DD (1971), Rosenberg came to Canada in 1956. He has had 2 pulpits: Beth Tzedec (1956-73) and Beth Torah (1982- ). He was appointed honorary fellow for life at the Jewish Theological Seminary (1976) and from 1975 to 1978 was visiting professor at the Toronto School of Theology and in 1981 visiting lecturer at San Diego State U. He has published 18 books, including The Jewish Community of Canada (2 vols, 1971), Bridge to Brotherhood - Judaism's Dialogue with Christianity (1961), The Search for Jewish Identity in America (1965), Christians and Jews: The Eternal Bond (1984) and The Christian Problem: A Jewish View (1986).
