Charles Bohner. Composer, arranger, teacher, fl Toronto 1882-98. Bohner, who had a music studio on Yonge St, wrote songs and piano pieces, of which the earliest extant, Aesthetic Valse and Claxton's Grand March (1882, both for piano), were published by T. Claxton.
Gregori Garbovitsky. Violinist, conductor, teacher, b Kreavri, near Dniepropetrovsk, Russia, 1892, d New York October 1954. He studied violin at the St Petersburg Cons with Leopold Auer (at the same time as Kathleen Parlow and Jascha Heifetz) and composition with Alexander Glazunov.

Marcel Saucier. Violinist, teacher, b Montreal 6 Nov 1912; lauréat (Montreal) 1935, teaching certificate (Montreal) 1950, B MUS (Montreal) 1951. On his mother's side he was a cousin of Father Alphonse Tardif.
Tony (Giuseppe Alexander Antonio) Romandini,. Guitarist, composer, arranger, teacher, b Montreal 27 Jul 1928. He studied guitar 1937-40 with a teacher named Calabrese in New York and at 15 played with Maynard Ferguson in Montreal.
Anisia Campos. Pianist, teacher, b Rio de Janeiro 1940, naturalized Canadian 1971. Anisia Campos graduated from l'École normale de musique in Paris (where she studied with Alfred Cortot and Reine Gianoli) and from the Salzbourg Mozarteum, where she worked with the well-known pedagogue Karl Leimer.
Sarah Davidson. Harpist, teacher, b Toronto 5 Dec 1958. A pupil of Judy Loman (harp) and Bonnie Silver (music theory) in her teens, Sarah Davidson first appeared as guest soloist with the Toronto Symphony at age 14, returning at 18.
Charles E. (Edward) Wheeler. Organist, teacher, composer, b London, Ont, 1870, d there 25 Nov 1949; FRCCO. After early studies with Carl Verrinder, W. James. Birks, George Sippi, and J.W. Featherston, Wheeler had organ and theory lessons in Toronto with F.H. Torrington and W.O. Forsyth respectively.
(Joseph Gustave) Jacques Lecomte. Trumpeter, teacher, b Montreal 15 May 1924, d there 25 Jan 1987; premier prix trumpet (CMM) 1948. He took piano lessons 1931-5 before switching to clarinet and then to trumpet, which he began studying in 1937 with Joseph-Laurent Gariépy.

Marthe Létourneau, soprano, teacher (born 27 June 1916 in Quebec City, QC; died 10 December 1998). Létourneau appeared as soloist with the MSO and the Quebec Symphony Orchestra and taught voice 1940-2 at Sherbrooke's Mont Notre-Dame, 1960-2 at the École Vincent-d'Indy, 1960-6 at the Institut Nazareth, 1962-3 at the Institut pédagogique de Montréal, and 1960-6 at the Grey Nuns' School in Hull. She also taught at Laval University 1966-84 and was a member of a vocal quartet there 1972-4.

Pierre Bernier. Cellist, teacher, b Quebec City 19 Aug 1933. He studied 1948-54 at the CMQ with Walter Joachim, Lucien Plamondon, and Paul Létourneau. He served 1956-66 as a cellist with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra and the CBC Quebec Chamber Orchestra.
Pierre (Paul) Morin. Cellist, conductor, teacher, b Montreal 27 Nov 1936; performance diploma cello (École normale, Paris) 1963. He studied 1954-8 at the CMM with Yvette Lamontagne and won the Prix Archambault in 1957.
