Talbert Carey. Choirmaster, b Millgrove 16 Jun 1856, d 20 Jan 1909. The choirmaster at Carlisle United Church in Flamborough Township, he and his wife and their twin sons Roy (b Millgrove 17 Nov 1884, d 29 Apr 1918) and Lorne (d 9 Mar 1955) performed as a vocal quartet and were members of the Millgrove Choral Group and the Carlisle Church choir. Lorne and Roy toured as bell-ringers with the Musical Eckhardts, a vaudeville troupe, in the early 1900s. Lorne presented the first silent films in Hamilton and played the accompanying piano.
