Daniel Baird

Trained as a philosopher at Princeton University and the University of California, Berkeley, Daniel Baird is a writer and editor focused on art, culture, and ideas. He co-founded the New York based monthly The Brooklyn Rail and served as an arts editor, features writer, and columnist. He went on to become the arts and literature editor at The Walrus magazine, where he was also a regular contributor. He continues to write for The Walrus, Canadian Art, Border Crossings, and Eighteen Bridges. His favourite Canadian writer is Gwendolyn MacEwen.
