Maia Foster-Sanchez
Maia Foster-Sanchez is an emergency measures policy analyst, emergency manager and a multi-media producer. She has an MA in disaster and emergency management from Royal Roads University (RRU) in British Columbia. Her thesis focused on the 2019 Timmins wildfire. She also has a BA in history and political science from McGill University and York University’s Glendon College. She has worked as an emergency manager at the Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management in Ontario. For her scholarship and research, she was awarded the Governor General’s Gold Medal at RRU. She has produced various series, including the Voices from Here Oral History Series.
