Nat Rutter

Nat Rutter, OC, spent most of his career working on scientific problems concerning the Quaternary Period. As a member of the Geological Survey of Canada, he investigated the glacial history and climate change of Western and Northern Canada. He was professor and chairmen of the Department of Geology at the University of Alberta, conducting climate change research in Canada, China, Siberia, Europe, Africa and South America. He is currently a distinguished university professor emeritus of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Alberta.
