Louis Muhlstock, painter (b at Narajow, Poland 23 Apr 1904, d at Montréal 26 Aug 2001), best known as a painter of the Depression. Muhlstock came to Montréal in 1911 and worked for his family's fruit-importing firm.

Walter Edgar Harris, analytical chemist, professor (born at Wetaskiwin, Alta 9 June 1915; Died at Edmonton, 20 Oct 2011). A recognized leader in the development of teaching and research in analytical chemistry in Canada, Harris studied chemistry at the University of Alberta and Minnesota.

Émile Ollivier, author (b at Port-au-Prince Haïti 1940; d at Montréal 10 Nov 2002). He studied at the Lycée in Port-au-Prince, then at the École normale supérieure, where he was working on a degree in philosophy (1962).

James Mavor Moore, OC, OBC, writer, composer, producer, director, actor, administrator, critic, educator (born 8 March 1919 in Toronto, ON; died 18 December 2006 in Victoria, BC).

Dodi (Dorothy Ann) Protero (b MacGregor, adopted McIlraith). Soprano, teacher born Toronto 13 Mar 1933, died New York, NY, 22 Apr 2007. While a pupil 1949-59 of James Rosselino she sang during the early 1950s in the Rosselino Opera's production of La Traviata.

Joseph-Alfred Mousseau, lawyer, journalist, writer, politician, judge, premier of Québec 1882-84 (b at Berthier-en-Haut, LC 18 July 1838; d at Montréal 30 Mar 1886). Mousseau was admitted to the bar in 1860 and practised civil and criminal law for 20 years, becoming QC in 1873.

The Mercey Brothers. One of Canada's most popular country groups, active 1958-89. It comprised three brothers from Hanover, south of Owen Sound, Ont.
