Juliette Milette (Sister Henri-de-la-Croix, Congregation of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary; pseud. Rose de Montroy). Organist, teacher, composer (Montreal June 17, 1900 - October 10, 1992); prizewinner (AMQ) 1927, M.Mus. (Montreal) 1934, L.Mus. (ibid.) 1939, D.M.A. (ibid.) 1949. She studied at the École supérieure de musique d'Outremont (École Vincent-d'Indy) with Alfred La Liberté (piano), Raoul Paquet (organ), and Claude Champagne (composition). She received a teaching diploma in 1933 from Montreal's Conservatoire national and a diploma in Gregorian chant in 1938 from the University of Montreal. In 1926 she began teaching tonic solfa, harmony, analysis, piano, organ, choral singing, and Gregorian chant at the École Vincent- d'Indy.

Under her pseudonym she composed a work for organ and choir, Notre-Dame du Canada (1950, Notre-Dame du Cap 1950) that was recorded on the Radio-Marie label. She also wrote the organ accompaniment to the Cantuale ad Benedictionem SS. Sacramenti (1958, Collège de Rouyn 1958) as well as masses, motets, hymns, organ compositions, and choral works all of them unpublished. An oratorio, Leur Maison, written to mark the centenary of her religious order in 1944, also remains unpublished (see Oratorio Composition 11).
